4/82

由Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) 和Union Baptist Association (UBA) 资助成立布道所   Chinese Mission at Fellowship Baptist Church (Later changed to Metropolitan Baptist Church) on Jones Road.

 

由西南神学院学生伍东光传道（T.K.Ng) 主持会务。（许友端牧师帮助促成，他是UBA之亚州差传顾问，十余年来，他帮助在休士顿成立了约七十个亚太一教会/布道所。）最早的会友有：江汉荫，江林振清，杜振三，方丽秋，徐张似璋，徐美恩，许嘉恩，许雅恩，许慈恩，李焕珠，陈德仪，李玉萍。  

感谢 Southern Baptist Convention 的 Cooperative Program 及 Fellowship Baptist Church 的异像。

伍东光传道离美返港左博士论文。

开始首次聘牧。

许友端牧师代理讲台。
11/83

蔡升平牧师 (Rev. John S. Tsai) 结束东南浸信会工作，应本会呼招，成为第一位全职牧师 （蔡范丽枝师母）。

成立诗班，由张似璋任指挥。
9/84

教会协助成立西北华语学校。
1/85

设立建堂基金专户（Building Fund).
10/87

蔡师母离休市，返回北卡州。
1/88 蔡升平牧师辞职。
6/88

蔡牧师离职返回北卡州与家人团圆。牧会期间聚会众人数突破百人。

完成会章，向州政府注册成立教会。

会友离开者约四家。
1/89

呼招谢建邦弟兄(Brother Stephen Hsieh) 主持会务。

按立谢建邦为第二任牧师 （谢林芳兰师母）。

组建建堂委员会，开始与 BGCT 合作， 筹划购地，建筑教堂。
6/91

停止Copperfield 建堂工作。
8/91

谢牧师辞职，离职。牧会期间教会聚会人数亦曾超过百人。

教会呈分裂，约十二名会友（五分之一）追随谢牧师在附近成立锡安堂。
4/92

呼招许友端牧师（Dr.Vicente Co) 为本会第三任牧师 （ 许张似璋师母）。许师母结束在第一浸信会的工作。
4/92

购置13130 Perry Road 教堂现址 （一现金二十四万元成交，其中又会友们无息贷款八万元），离开母会 Metropolitan Baptist Church。
6/92

举行献堂典礼，为主做见证。本会乃继华人浸信会(CBC) 以来在休士顿市首次购堂的华人浸信教会。十年又称，归荣耀给神。
11/92 开始教会会刊。
5/95

许牧师夫妇离职，成为本教会第一对夫妇宣教士，其工场在中华民国台湾省板桥市（台北县），对象为菲籍，泰籍在台之外侨。

其间会友离开者约五家。
6/95

教会开始为期两年的无牧师时代。讲台主要由张乐天牧师，高以峰伯伯，黄兴为牧师供应，还有马景华牧师，施维强牧师，陈敏澜牧师，以及梁路加牧师，Rev.Todd Hamilton and Rev. Anthony Stella. 刘婉华姐妹接任诗班指挥。
5/96

五月五日晚上八时举行会议商议本教会与『锡安堂』合并事宜，黄日强牧师担任仲裁. 
五月二十六日『会友月会』决定暂停与『锡安堂』商议合并，但加强两教会间的合作与团契
 
6/96

结束西北华语学校。
8/96

无息贷款无安全偿还。

 
9/96

教会得到复兴。主日学，俦告会人数增加。次年同工人数由三人增加为六人。

十五年来，教会有四十三位弟兄姐妹受浸。
11/96

十一月二十四日『会友月会』通过1997 年同工：朱法山、褚玲玲、巢国良、赵晓苍、陈莲影、黄明仁。同日接受佘伯伯和佘妈妈加入本教会

开始长辈『长青团契』

周建中牧师同意担任本会顾问牧师，将于六月来会.

张昭明传道与李慧敏姐妹接受本会呼召来担任牧者.

十二月二十日『会友月会』通过1999 年同工：佘时俊、林天园、巢国良、赵晓苍、黄明仁、刘婉华、郭喜来。佘时俊担任主席。

十一月二十二日开始淹水损坏修复工作.
十一月二十六日晚六时在『锡安堂』与『锡安堂』和『阿拉伯裔教会』的弟兄姐妹举行『联合感恩聚会』

4/82 A Chinese mission was established in the Fellowship Baptist Church (later changed to Metropolitan Baptist Church) on Jones Road, with financial supports from Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) and Union Baptist Association (UAB).

Mr. Tong Kong Ng, a student at the Southwest Baptist Seminary, was the first minister. (Rev. Dr. Vicente Co, Asian Ministry Consultant at UBA, promoted and assisted in the founding effort, he helped with more than 70 Asian churches and missions.)

First members were: Michael Chiang, Lena Chiang, Jason Du, Li-Chiu Du, Conchita Co, Sharon Co, Faith Co, Jeanne Co, Joy Co, Rosa Chang, Der-Yi Chen and Yu-Ping Li.

A debt of gratitude went to the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the vision of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
 
5/83 Minister Ng left the U.S. for Hong Kong to finish his doctoral thesis.
The first calling of a pastor began.
Dr. Vicente Co stepped in for the pulpit as the interim minister.
 
11/83 Rev. John S. Tsai ended his work at the Southeast Baptist Mission, in answering our calling to become the first full-time pastor at NCBM. (Mrs. Li-Chi Fan Tsai)
Church choir was formed under the direction of Mrs. Conchita Co.
 
9/84 Northwest Chinese Language Institute was launched with the support of the mission.
1/85 The Church Building Fund was started.
10/87 Mrs. Li-Chi Tsai left Houston to return to North Carolina.
1/88 Rev John S. Tsai submitted his letter of resignation.
6/88 Pastor Tsai left Houston to be reunited with his family in North Carolina. In his tenure, the mission had over 100 in worship attendance.
Church constitution and bylaw was completed. Registration with the State of Texas was also accomplished, under the name of Northwest Chinese Baptist Church (NCBC).
Four families left the church. 
 
1/89 Bro. Stephen Hsieh was called to minister the congregation.
Stephen Hsieh was ordained as minister and second pastor of the church. (Mrs. Fang-Lan Lin Hsieh)
The Building Committee was formed, to begin work with the BGCT to plan on purchasing a property and building a church.
 
6/91 Church building plan at the Copperfield site was stopped.
8/91 Pastor Stephen Hsieh resigned and left the church. In his tenure, the church also had over 100 in worship attendance.
The church split, about 12 members, 1/5 of the congregation, followed Stephen Hsieh to establish the Zion Baptist Mission near by.
 
4/92 Dr. Vicente Co was called to become the third pastor (Mrs. Conchita Chang Co). Dr. Co ended his work at the First Baptist Church of Houston.
 
4/92 The church building at 13130 Perry Road was purchased, with a cash payment of $240,000, including interest free loans of $80,000 from members.
The church moved in the building, from Metropolitan Baptist Church.
 
6/92 A Church Building Dedication Service was held to give witness to the Lord. NCBC became the second such Chinese Baptist church in Houston to own its church building, following the example of Chinese Baptist Church (CBC) of Houston. A great task was accomplished within 10 years. To God is the glory.
 
11/92 The first Church Monthly Journal was published.
5/95 Dr. and Mrs. Co left for Taiwan to become the church’s first missionaries. Their field of mission was in Ban-Chiao city, Taipei County, Taiwan, ministering to local laborers from the Philippines and Thailand.
Five families left the church.
 
6/95 The church began a two-year period without a pastor. During this time the pulpit was primarily supplied by Rev. Lok-Tin Cheung, Rev. David Hsu, Dr. Jerry Kao and Rev. Bill Huang, with occasional assistance from Rev. Jing-Hua Ma, Rev. Wei-Chiang Shi, Rev. David Chen, Rev. Luke Liang, Rev. Todd Hamilton and Rev. Anthony Stella.
Mrs. Paula L. Chu took over as choir director.
 
5/96 May 5th 20:00, discussed with “Zion Baptist Church” regarding merging of two church. Rev. Paul Wong served as mediator.
May 26th in “Monthly Congregational Meeting”.Members decided to enhance cooperation fellowship between our church & “Zion Baptist Church” only.
 
6/96 The Northwest Chinese Language Institute was closed.
8/96 All interest free loans were either cancelled or paid in full.
9/96 The church received revival. Attendance in Sunday school and prayer meeting were both increased. Co-workers for the next year grew to six people from three. 
In the past 15 years, there were 53 baptisms.
11/96 November 24th in “Monthly Congregational Meeting”. Elected Co-workers of 1997 as 
follows: Frank Chu, Lily Sung, Ed Chau, Alvin Chao, Anne Kou & Jim Huang 。Also accepted Papa & Mama She as members of NCBC.
 
01/97 Elder's’ Fellowship started.
02/98 Rev. Stephen Chou accepted to serve as our interim pastor and will come to church by June
07/98 Minister Chang Chao-ming & Mrs. Millie accepted our call to be our pastor.
12/98 December 20th in “Monthly Congregational Meeting”. Elected Co-workers of 1999 as following: Shih-chun She, Teenian Chu, Ed Chau, Alvin Chao, Jim Huang, Paula Chu, Philip Kuo. Chairman is: She, Shih-chun.
Interim pastor Rev. Stephen Chou resigned.
 
09/99 September 12th 13::00 held Baptism Ceremony for brother Chi-way Lau & sister Elisa Lau & they were accepted as members of NCBC.
11/99 November 22nd started repair work for flooding damage.

November 26th 18:00, held “Joint Thanksgiving Dinner Party” with brothers & sisters of Zion Church & Arabian Church at Zion Church.
 
12/99 December 26th in Monthly Congregational Meeting, elected Co-workers of 2000 as following: Paula Chu, Jim Huang, Alvin Chao, Jim Mar, Anne Kou, Ai-ling Chu. Chairwoman is Paula Chu.
04/00 April 23rd 13:30 held a Baptism Ceremony for brother Frank She. Frank She was accepted as a member of NCBC.
12/00 December 17th in Monthly Congregational Meeting accepted brother Robert McKay as amember of NCBC.

 
01/01 January 1st - Interim Pastor George Lai & Mrs. Lai started their services at our church.
 
04/01 April 15th 13:00 held a Baptism Ceremony for brothers Hsin-hsiung Huang , Yao-yen Wang , We-yong Qiu , Henry Hsiao , Joshua Kou & sisters May-yu Huang , Jean Chen , Teresa Kang , Elisha Chao , Alice McKay & they were all accepted as members of NCBC.
06/01 June 9th 15:00 held the “Pastoral Installation Ceremony” for Rev. George Lai.
08/01 August 12th - 11:00 held a Baptism Ceremony for sisters Molly Yang & Ning Huang. They were accepted as members of NCBC.
August 19th Rev. Stephen Chow visited brothers & sisters & preached.
 
03/02 March 31st 11:00 held a Baptism Ceremony for brother Philip Yang . Yang was accepted as a member of NCBC.
05/02 May 18th 18:00 Celebrated 20th Anniversary of founding of this church. “ The 20th Anniversary of NCBC Journal” was published& all families got their copy.
09/02 September 24th “Elders’ College” started & to be held every Tuesday from 09:30 to 13:30。Lily Sung was elected as principal & Amy Huang was elected as Dean of Education.
12/02 December 29th in Monthly Congregational Meeting, elected Co-workers of 2003 as following: Frank Chu, Jim Mar, Michelle Lai, Wendy Lee, Vera Sun, David Kang, Philip Kou. Chairman is Philip Kou.
03/02 March 1st started an English Fellowship, to be held on 19:30 every Saturday evening.
07/03 July 27th 11:00 held a Baptism Ceremony for brother Kevin Wu, sisters Guang-yu Yin& Lila Wu. They were accepted as church members.
12/03 December 21st in Monthly Congregational Meeting, elected Co-workers of 2004 as follows: Philip Kou, David Kang, Paula Chu, Yuen-yee Ma, Kevin Wu. Chairman is Paula Chu.
04/04 April111th 11:00 held a Baptism Ceremony for sister Tina Hong. She was accepted as a member of NCBC.
01/05 “Annual Bible Reading Chart” is available for brothers & sisters. January 9th，held Ordination Ceremony for Frank Chu to serve as Deacon, and Installation of Council Members of 2005. Council Members of 2005 are sisters Paula Chu, Yuen-Yee Ma，Amy Huang, Grace Lai & brothers David Kang & Kevin Wu. Sister Paula Chu is chairwoman.
01/05 Ordination Celebration for brother Frank Chu to serve as Deacon & Installation of 2005 Council Members were held.
01/05 Sister Jenny Wang was elected to relieve sister Lily Sung as the principal of “The Elder College” and sister Amy Huang was elected to relieve Jenny Wang as the director of education. Sister Lily Sung was going to move to Beijing.
1/05 January 27th , started “Bible Study Class “ every Thursday in Sub-division Champion Spring
03/05 Sisters Judy & Julie Chao were baptized and became  members of NCBC. 
 
05/05 Sisters Silvana Calderon & Fu Qing & Brothers Zhang Jian、Martin Davila & Rodrigo Davila were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. They became members of NCBC.
 
7/05 The Chinese Sunday School started to  teach “ The Life of Jesus “.
  "Chinese Missionary Night" was held at church. Sisters Wendy & Jannice shared their witness & visions of Mission in China.
  July 24th , sister May Mour took the duty of pianist.
08/05 August 28th, “Herald Monthly” held 10th Year Anniversary Banquet, our church is one of the sponsors.
  Church called for donation for disaster relief of Hurricane Katrina.
9/05 September 25th, Sunday Worship Service was cancelled due to aftermath of Hurricane Rita、Instead, Rev. Lai, brothers & sisters held prayers & Shared experience during Hurricane or Typhone.
10/05 October 30th , in “Monthly Congregational Meeting”  Frank Chu, David Kang, Amy Huang，Ma Yuen Yee, Hou Hong Li & James Zhang were electedas Council Members of 2006.
11/05 November 24th 11:30 – 13:00, NCBC, NCS & HNCA held a joint tradition Thanksgiving luncheon.
12/05 December 3rd 14:00 – 16:00, “The Christian Light & Salt “ held Christmas Fund Raising Event, with our church assistance..

01/06 On January 29th , a baptism Ceremony was held for
Brother Jack Wang & sister Janice Hsiao.
